The official publication day has finally arrived for The Wisdom to Know the Difference. Amazon has posted a little “in stock” sign, and IndieBound and Powell’s have removed the sign that said it wasn’t in stock yet. Not sure if the book is actually in bookstores, but it should be soon. (Please let me know if you see it.) In the meantime, I want to celebrate some other authors who have books out this month—just in case you thought Dan Brown was the only one.
A few months ago, I joined, SheWrites, an online writer’s group for women. I must say it has been more helpful and the members more mutually supportive than the LinkedIn writer’s group I belong to. There is a sub-group of women with September releases, none of which I’ve had a chance to read yet, I must confess. It’s been such a friendly little gang I want to lift up their labors in the hopes that some of these titles speak to some of you. Apologies if I’ve forgotten anyone or put them in the wrong category (Abby, I couldn’t download your cover picture.):
Nonfiction
Amy Ferris, Marrying George Clooney: Confessions from a Midlife Crisis
Hope Edelman, The Possibility of Everything: A Memoir
Marti Rulli, Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour

Congrats to all of you!
May I be so brash as to add my own name to this list? Treasure of the Golden Cheetah, an historical mystery set in 1920 on Mt. Kilimanjaro is another September release. Think of it as Saturday Matinee reading. Lots of fun. Thank you. www,suzannearruda.com
Eileen,
Amazon brought your book to me two days ago, and though I’ve only just begun, I am already impressed with your words, wisdom, and clarity. Best of luck.
Thanks, Randy! And good luck with your book, Suzanne!
Congratulations! I am now co-librarian of our meeting, so I’ll be certain to add your book to our shelf! (Though our current, wonderful, long-time librarian to whom I am apprenticing almost certainly would do so even without my suggestion.) I look forward to reading it.
